Find Entry Level VMware Jobs!
After several years of virtualizing servers to maximize hardware efficiency it is now expected that system admins and engineers know enough about VMware and other virtualization products to provision their own VM servers.Gone are the days when a dedicated person would handle the job via a ticket request. In today's busy IT environment people need to know how to deploy a VM from a template and then run the finishing scrips required to harden and baseline the server.
Yes this can take getting used to but once staff are trained, they can easily deploy servers thru vCenter, XenCenter, VMM or Openstack. And if you have already made the move to the public cloud then there is AWS, Rackspace and Azure's self service portals.
This may seem intimidating for many new admins just joining the workforce after completing a certificate program or technical school, but let me calm your nerves. It's not that difficult, and it's lots of fun!
